Cal Grant program

The Cal Grant program is a state financial aid initiative in California that helps students pay for college. It provides grants—awards that don't need to be repaid—to eligible students attending public or private colleges and universities in California. Awards are based on financial need, academic achievement, and other criteria. The funds can cover tuition, fees, and sometimes living expenses. To qualify, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application and meet specific eligibility requirements.
