C-TPAT Supply Chain Security
C-TPAT, or Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism, is a program initiated by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to enhance supply chain security. It involves collaboration between businesses and the government to identify and mitigate security risks throughout the import process. Participating companies demonstrate their commitment to protecting their supply chains from terrorism and smuggling by implementing security measures. In exchange, they benefit from reduced inspections, expedited processing, and a stronger relationship with customs, ultimately leading to safer trade practices and more efficient supply chains.
