C-TPAT
C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) is a voluntary program created by U.S. Customs and Border Protection that encourages importers, shipping companies, and other trade partners to strengthen supply chain security. Participants collaborate to identify and address potential security risks, helping prevent terrorism and illegal activities. In return, they benefit from expedited processing and reduced inspections at borders, promoting safer and more efficient international trade. Essentially, C-TPAT fosters a cooperative effort between private industry and government to secure global supply chains while facilitating legitimate trade.
