C-Section (Caesarian Delivery)

A C-section, or Caesarean delivery, is a surgical procedure used to deliver a baby through incisions made in the mother's abdomen and uterus, rather than through the vaginal canal. This method is often chosen when vaginal delivery poses risks to the mother or baby, such as complications, multiple births, or abnormal positions of the baby. While C-sections can be planned in advance, they can also be performed in emergencies. Recovery may take longer than with vaginal delivery, and like any surgery, it carries some risks, but it can be a safe option for many families.
