
Byblos
Byblos is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, located in modern-day Lebanon. Historically significant, it was a vital Phoenician port city known for its trade in papyrus, which contributed to its name. Byblos played a crucial role in the spread of the alphabet and was an important center for the worship of the goddess Baalat Gebal.
