Buyids
The Buyids were a dynasty of Persian origin that ruled parts of the Middle East, including Iran and Iraq, from the 10th to the 11th centuries. They emerged as powerful military leaders and governors within the declining Abbasid Caliphate, eventually controlling much of the region while the caliphs remained as spiritual figures. The Buyids promoted Persian culture and language, and their rule helped shape the political and cultural landscape of the area during the Middle Ages. Their governance was characterized by local authority, a focus on Persian traditions, and a significant role in the history of Islamic civilization.
