Brucellosis

Brucellosis is an infectious disease caused by bacteria called Brucella, which can spread from animals to humans through contact with infected animals or their products, like unpasteurized milk or meat. It often results in flu-like symptoms such as fever, sweating, fatigue, joint pain, and muscle aches. The illness can become chronic if untreated, affecting various organs. People working with livestock, dairy farmers, or veterinarians are at higher risk. Treatment typically involves a course of antibiotics. Preventive measures include good hygiene, protective equipment, and avoiding unpasteurized dairy products.
