British Transport Police
The British Transport Police (BTP) is a specialist police force responsible for maintaining safety and security across the railways and some other transport systems in Great Britain. Established in 1825, its officers investigate crimes, enforce laws, and ensure the wellbeing of passengers and staff. The BTP covers train stations, rail networks, and some parts of the London Underground. Unlike typical regional police services, the BTP has a unique focus on transportation-related issues, including ticket fraud and travel safety. Its primary goal is to create a safe and secure environment for everyone using public transport.
