Brightness

Brightness refers to the perception of how much light a surface or object emits or reflects. It is quantified in various contexts, such as in art, photography, and science. In terms of light sources, brightness can be measured in lumens, while in terms of reflected light, it's often measured in luminance. Factors influencing brightness include the intensity of the light source, its distance from the observer, and the surrounding environment. In psychology, brightness can also relate to how we perceive colors, where lighter hues are often seen as more vibrant or vivid than darker ones.
