Bribe Payers Index
The Bribe Payers Index (BPI) is a measure created by Transparency International that evaluates which countries are more likely to bribe foreign public officials in business dealings. It surveys business executives to assess the likelihood of paying bribes in various countries, scoring them on a scale from 0 to 10, with lower scores indicating a higher likelihood of bribery. The BPI helps highlight corrupt practices and encourages governments and businesses to improve ethical standards and transparency in international trade, ultimately aiming to reduce corruption globally.
