Brandt-Daroff Exercises
Brandt-Daroff exercises are a series of head movements designed to alleviate symptoms of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), a condition that causes brief episodes of dizziness related to changes in head position. The exercises involve moving the head into specific positions and holding them for a short time, which helps to relocate tiny calcium crystals in the inner ear that are causing the dizziness. Practicing these exercises regularly can improve balance and reduce vertigo symptoms, making it easier for individuals to carry out daily activities without discomfort or fear of sudden dizziness.
