Brake systems
Brake systems are essential components in vehicles that help slow down or stop the vehicle safely. They work by converting the kinetic energy of the moving vehicle into heat through friction. When you press the brake pedal, hydraulic fluid transmits force to brake pads or shoes, pressing them against brake rotors or drums attached to the wheels. This contact creates friction, which reduces the wheel’s speed until the vehicle comes to a stop. Modern systems may include features like anti-lock braking systems (ABS) that prevent wheel lockup and improve control during hard braking.
