Boot to Gecko

Boot to Gecko (B2G) was an open-source operating system developed by Mozilla aimed at powering smartphones and tablets. It was designed to run web-based applications using standard web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, allowing developers to create apps that work across devices. B2G prioritized user control, privacy, and customization, often emphasizing open standards and community collaboration. Although it was eventually discontinued in favor of other platforms, B2G represented an effort to rethink mobile operating systems around the web rather than proprietary ecosystems.
