Book burning
Book burning is the deliberate destruction of written or printed materials, often by setting them on fire. Historically, it has been used as a tool for censorship, oppression, or suppression of ideas considered undesirable or dangerous by governments or groups. The act symbolizes an attempt to erase certain knowledge, beliefs, or cultural expressions from society, and has often been associated with upheavals, authoritarian regimes, or targeted suppression of dissenting views. While it physically destroys books, it also signifies a rejection of the ideas contained within them.
