Bonobos
Bonobos are a close relative of humans and chimpanzees, sharing about 98-99% of our DNA. They are primates known for their peaceful, matriarchal societies and high levels of social bonding through grooming and sexual behaviors, which help maintain harmony. Bonobos live in the Democratic Republic of Congo's rainforests and are characterized by their slender build, dark faces, and longer legs. They use tools, communicate with complex vocalizations and expressions, and are considered highly intelligent. Their social structure and behaviors offer valuable insights into primate evolution, including aspects of human social and sexual interactions.
