Bonferroni correction

The Bonferroni correction is a method used in statistics to reduce the chance of false positives when making multiple comparisons or tests at once. When you test many hypotheses, the likelihood of finding at least one false positive increases. To prevent this, the Bonferroni correction adjusts the significance threshold by dividing it by the number of tests performed. Essentially, it makes it harder for any single test to appear statistically significant, helping ensure that the results you find are more likely to be truly meaningful rather than just random chance.
