Blue Shirts Society

The Blue Shirts Society was a secret organization within the Kuomintang (KMT), China’s major political party, active mainly during the 1930s and 1940s. It was founded by Chiang Kai-shek to promote nationalism, discipline, and anti-communism. Members wore blue shirts as a symbol of unity and loyalty. The society engaged in covert activities, including suppression of political opponents and maintaining internal security. While influential behind the scenes, it operated with secrecy to control dissent and solidify Chiang’s authority, playing a significant role in shaping the political landscape of modern China during that period.
