Blistering
Blistering is a skin response where fluid-filled bubbles, called blisters, form between skin layers or on the surface. This occurs when skin cells are damaged by factors such as heat, friction, chemicals, or infections, prompting the body to produce a protective layer of fluid. Blisters help cushion and shield underlying skin, facilitating healing. They vary in size and can be painful or uncomfortable. While small blisters usually resolve on their own, larger or infected blisters may require medical attention to prevent complications.
