Blastocyst culture

A blastocyst culture refers to the process of growing and developing embryos in a lab for several days post-fertilization, until they reach the blastocyst stage, which typically occurs around five to six days after conception. During this time, embryologists monitor and nurture the embryos to ensure optimal conditions for growth. This stage is essential for in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures, as blastocysts are more advanced and have a better chance of implanting successfully in the uterus. Culturing embryos to this stage can improve the effectiveness of fertility treatments and increase the likelihood of a successful pregnancy.
