Black trans women

Black trans women are individuals who were assigned male at birth but identify and live as women, and who are of Black or African descent. They often face unique experiences shaped by both transphobia and racism, leading to significant social, economic, and health disparities. Despite these challenges, they contribute richly to their communities and culture. Recognizing Black trans women means understanding their identities, respecting their experiences, and advocating for equality and protection from discrimination and violence.
