Black sororities
Black sororities are social organizations within historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) that focus on sisterhood, leadership, community service, and cultural empowerment. They promote academic achievement, social advocacy, and lifelong bonds among women of African descent. These sororities often have specific rituals, values, and traditions rooted in fostering empowerment and addressing issues impacting Black communities. They provide support systems, networking opportunities, and avenues for personal growth, emphasizing service and advocacy while celebrating Black culture and heritage.
