Black hole
A black hole is a region in space where gravity is so strong that nothing, not even light, can escape it. It forms when a massive star exhausts its fuel and collapses under its own gravity, compressing its core into a very small, dense point called a singularity. The boundary around a black hole, known as the event horizon, marks the point beyond which escape is impossible. Black holes influence their surroundings by pulling in nearby matter, often creating accretion disks and emitting energy. Despite their mysterious nature, black holes are fundamental in understanding gravity and the life cycles of stars.
