The Black Forest is a large, wooded mountain range located in southwestern Germany, known for its dense forests, picturesque villages, and rich folklore. It stretches approximately 160 kilometers (100 miles) and is part of the Baden-Württemberg region. The area is famous for its outdoor activities like hiking and skiing, as well as for traditional crafts, such as cuckoo clock making.
