Black economic empowerment
Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) is a policy initiative in South Africa aimed at addressing racial inequalities in economic participation following apartheid. It seeks to increase the economic opportunities for Black individuals and communities by promoting their ownership, management, and control of businesses and assets. BEE encourages companies to promote diversity and inclusivity in the workplace, support Black entrepreneurs, and invest in skills development. The goal is to create a more equitable economy where historically disadvantaged groups can thrive, contributing to broader social and economic development in the country.
