
Bishop Desmond Tutu
Bishop Desmond Tutu was a South African Anglican bishop and social rights activist known for his leadership in the anti-apartheid movement. He advocated for nonviolent resistance and reconciliation in a country divided by racial segregation. Tutu became the first Black Archbishop of Cape Town and received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1984 for his efforts to combat apartheid.
