Birthplace of Jesus
The birthplace of Jesus is traditionally believed to be Bethlehem, a small town in modern-day Palestine, near Jerusalem. According to the New Testament, Mary and Joseph traveled to Bethlehem for a census, and Jesus was born there in a stable because there was no room in the inn. This event is celebrated by Christians worldwide during Christmas. Bethlehem holds significant religious importance, and the Church of the Nativity, built over the site where Jesus is said to have been born, attracts many pilgrims and tourists each year.
