Birthmarks
Birthmarks are colored marks or shapes on the skin that are present at birth or develop shortly afterward. They result from an overgrowth of blood vessels, pigment cells, or skin layers, and can vary greatly in size, shape, and color. Most birthmarks are harmless and may fade over time, while some might require medical attention if they cause discomfort or cosmetic concerns. Common types include pigmented birthmarks like moles and café-au-lait spots, and vascular birthmarks such as hemangiomas and port-wine stains. They are a natural variation in skin appearance and typically not a cause for concern.
