BindsNET

BindsNET is a software framework designed to create and simulate spiking neural networks, which mimic how the brain processes information. Unlike traditional neural networks that use continuous values, spiking neural networks communicate through discrete spikes, resembling the way neurons in the brain send signals. BindsNET is built on the PyTorch library, enabling researchers and developers to explore brain-like learning mechanisms, especially for tasks like pattern recognition and reinforcement learning. It provides tools to study learning processes and improve our understanding of both artificial intelligence and biological systems.
