Bihu festival
Bihu is a traditional festival celebrated mainly in Assam, India, marking the changing seasons and agricultural cycles. There are three main Bihu celebrations: Rongali or Bohag Bihu (spring), Kongali or Kati Bihu (autumn), and Bhogali or Magh Bihu (winter). Rongali Bihu, the most prominent, celebrates new life and prosperity with music, dance, feasting, and traditional rituals. It symbolizes the joy of the Assamese people, honoring nature's bounty and fostering community bonding. The festival features vibrant cultural performances, traditional attire, and activities like singing, dancing, and planting paddy, reflecting the region's agricultural heritage.
