Bhaskara (Bhaskara I & Bhaskara II)
Bhaskara I and Bhaskara II were renowned Indian mathematicians from the 6th and 12th centuries, respectively. Bhaskara I is credited with early work on trigonometry, notably approximations for sine functions, laying groundwork for future studies. Bhaskara II made extraordinary contributions, including advanced calculations of sine values, algebra, and calculus concepts like derivatives. Their work significantly influenced mathematics, especially in understanding trigonometry and algebra, and is regarded as foundational in the history of Indian and world mathematics. Their insights helped bridge ancient mathematical methods with emerging scientific applications.
