Beryllium
Beryllium is a lightweight, strong metal with a grayish appearance, known for its high melting point and excellent thermal and electrical conductivity. It is primarily used in aerospace, electronics, and nuclear applications because of its stiffness and stability. Beryllium is toxic to handle because its dust and fumes can cause lung and skin issues, so safety precautions are essential. Although rare and somewhat expensive, it’s valued for special engineering uses where strength-to-weight ratio and stability are critical.
