Berry

A berry is a type of fruit that develops from a single flower's ovary and contains seeds embedded throughout its flesh. Unlike some fruits called berries in everyday language, botanical berries are typically soft, juicy, and have seeds inside—examples include grapes, tomatoes, and bananas. They usually grow on plants that produce many small, often colorful, and edible fruits. Botanically, berries are an important reproductive structure, helping plants spread their seeds through animals or environmental factors. In everyday usage, not all fruits called berries are true berries scientifically, but they generally share the characteristic of being fleshy, seed-containing fruits.
