Berber History
The Berbers are an indigenous North African people with a history spanning thousands of years. They originally inhabited regions across modern-day Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Mali, and Niger. Known for their rich culture, language, and resilience, Berbers played key roles in ancient empires like Carthage and later faced Arab and European influences. Despite changes over centuries, they preserved their identity through distinct traditions, language (Tamazight), and crafts. Today, Berbers continue to strengthen their cultural heritage while adapting to modern nation-states, contributing significantly to the history and diversity of North Africa.
