Berar Sultanate

The Berar Sultanate was a medieval Muslim kingdom in the region of Berar, in present-day India, that existed from the 14th to the 16th century. Initially part of the Delhi Sultanate, it became semi-independent, governing its territory with its own rulers. Known for fostering trade and cultural development, the Sultanate was strategically important due to its location connecting northern and southern India. It later came under the influence of the Mughal Empire in the 16th century. The Berar Sultanate played a significant role in regional politics and history during its time.
