Belarusian SSR

The Belarusian SSR (Belarusian Soviet Socialist Republic) was a part of the Soviet Union from 1922 to 1991. It was one of several Soviet republics, serving as the main administrative region of Belarus within the USSR, governed by a communist government aligned with Moscow. The Belarusian SSR had its own government and limited cultural autonomy but was ultimately subject to Soviet control. In 1991, with the USSR's dissolution, it declared independence and became the modern nation of Belarus, ending its status as a Soviet republic.
