
BCEAO (Central Bank of West African States)
The BCEAO, or Central Bank of West African States, is the central bank for eight West African countries that share the West African CFA franc as their currency. Established to ensure monetary stability and economic integration among its member states, BCEAO manages the currency, sets interest rates, supervises financial institutions, and aims to promote sustainable economic development. Its main objective is to maintain price stability and foster a conducive environment for investment and growth in the region, facilitating trade and cooperation among the member countries as part of the broader West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU).
