Bayes Factor
A Bayes Factor is a statistical tool used to compare two competing hypotheses or theories based on the evidence from data. It tells you how much more likely the data are under one hypothesis than the other. For example, a Bayes Factor of 10 means the data are ten times more supportive of one hypothesis compared to the other. It helps researchers objectively assess which explanation is better supported, updating previous beliefs with new evidence in a clear, quantitative way.
