Battles of Alexander the Great
Alexander the Great engaged in several significant battles during his campaigns to expand his empire. Notable among these are the Battle of Issus (333 BCE), where he defeated a larger Persian army, and the Battle of Gaugamela (331 BCE), a decisive victory that led to the fall of Persia. His innovative tactics, such as swift cavalry movements and strategic deception, often overwhelmed his enemies. Alexander's military successes enabled him to conquer Greece, Egypt, Persia, and parts of India, shaping a vast empire that spread Greek culture and influence across the known world.
