Battle of Jieting

The Battle of Jieting took place in 219 AD during China’s Eastern Han Dynasty, as part of the Three Kingdoms period. It was fought between the forces of the warlord Cao Cao and his rival, Liu Bei. Liu Bei aimed to secure the strategic location of Jieting to strengthen his control in the region. Despite being outnumbered, Liu Bei's troops used effective tactics, including ambushes, to defeat Cao Cao's larger army. The battle highlighted the shifting alliances and power struggles of the time, ultimately impacting the strength and influence of both leaders in the ongoing conflict for control over China.
