Barbara Roberts

Barbara Roberts is an American politician and author recognized as the first female governor of Oregon, serving from 1991 to 1995. A member of the Democratic Party, she focused on education reform, health care, and environmental protection during her tenure. Before becoming governor, she held various political roles, including Secretary of State of Oregon. Roberts is also known for her efforts in promoting women in politics and advocating for social justice issues.
