
Baltistan
Baltistan is a mountainous region in northern Pakistan, part of the larger Gilgit-Baltistan area. It is characterized by rugged terrain, high peaks including parts of the Karakoram Range like K2, the world’s second-highest mountain. The region has a rich cultural heritage, influenced by Balti and Tibetan traditions, and is primarily inhabited by the Baltis.
