Balaji Baji Rao, also known as Nana Bhau, was a prominent 18th-century Indian statesman and the prime minister of the Maratha Empire from 1740 to 1761. He was the son of Peshwa Bajirao I and played a key role in consolidating and expanding Maratha influence across India. Known for his administrative skills and strategic prowess, Nana Bhau helped maintain the empire's power during a period of military and political challenges. His leadership contributed significantly to the Maratha's prominence, but he also faced internal conflicts and setbacks, ultimately passing away during a crucial military campaign in 1761.
