Bagram Provincial Reconstruction Team

The Bagram Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) was a U.S.-led partnership focused on rebuilding Afghanistan’s infrastructure and strengthening local governance near Bagram Airfield. Operating from 2005 to 2014, it coordinated efforts among military, government agencies, and local leaders to improve roads, schools, healthcare, and security. The goal was to support stability and development in the region, helping Afghan communities become more self-sufficient. The PRT’s work complemented military operations by fostering economic growth and governance, aiming for sustainable progress in the post-Taliban era.
