Bagosora (Theoneste Bagosora)

Theoneste Bagosora was a high-ranking officer in the Rwandan military and government during the 1994 genocide. He is widely recognized as one of the key architects behind the planning and execution of the massacre, which resulted in the deaths of approximately 800,000 Tutsi and moderate Hutu. Bagosora was convicted of genocide and crimes against humanity by the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, highlighting his significant role in orchestrating the atrocities.
