B-scan
A B-scan is an eye imaging test that creates a cross-sectional picture of the eye’s interior, especially the retina and other structures at the back of the eye. It uses high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound) to bounce off tissues, generating a two-dimensional image. This helps eye care professionals evaluate conditions such as retinal detachments, tumors, or eye injuries when the inside of the eye can't be seen clearly through regular examinations. The B-scan provides detailed insights into the eye’s health, guiding diagnosis and treatment planning effectively.
