Australia New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC)
The Australia New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) was a combined military formation of Australian and New Zealand troops that served together during World War I, most famously at Gallipoli in 1915. Created to coordinate their efforts, ANZAC symbolized the strong bond between the two nations and their shared sacrifices. Over time, the term has come to honor the bravery, endurance, and camaraderie of those soldiers, and April 25th, known as ANZAC Day, is commemorated annually to remember their service and sacrifice. It remains a significant symbol of national identity and military history for both countries.
