Asian Carp Regional Coordinating Committee
The Asian Carp Regional Coordinating Committee (ACRCC) is a collaborative effort among U.S. government agencies, states, tribes, and stakeholders working together to prevent the spread of invasive Asian carp in the Great Lakes and surrounding waters. These fish threaten local ecosystems, fisheries, and economies by competing with native species. The committee develops and implements strategies such as barriers, monitoring, and rapid response plans to control and minimize the impact of these invasive fish, ensuring the health and sustainability of the region's aquatic environment.
