ASAS-SN
ASAS-SN, or the All-Sky Automated Survey for Supernovae, is an astronomical project designed to monitor the night sky for transient events, like supernovae—explosions marking the death of stars. Using a network of telescopes, ASAS-SN continuously scans the entire sky, quickly identifying changes or new objects. When a supernova is detected, the system alerts researchers, enabling rapid follow-up observations. This project helps scientists understand stellar evolution and the universe's expansion while also contributing to the discovery of other cosmic phenomena.
