Article 97 of the Polish Constitution

Article 97 of the Polish Constitution states that the President can temporarily delegate certain powers to the Council of Ministers if they are unable to perform their duties, such as in cases of illness or other obstacles. This delegation must be authorized by the Sejm (the lower house of parliament) and is limited to a maximum of six months, which can be extended. The purpose is to ensure continuity of government operations while the President is incapacitated, maintaining the constitutional balance of powers during such periods.
