Arthropod

Arthropods are a diverse group of invertebrates characterized by their segmented bodies, exoskeletons made of chitin, and jointed limbs. They include insects, arachnids (like spiders), crustaceans (such as crabs and lobsters), and myriapods (centipedes and millipedes). Arthropods are the largest animal phylum, found in almost every environment on Earth. Their exoskeleton provides support and protection but must be shed for growth through a process called molting. They play vital roles in ecosystems, such as pollination, decomposition, and serving as a food source for many animals.
